Very chill staff, they dont take cards and we had no cash when we arrived, they told us we can pay later. Also asked us when we want to check out and said we dont need to hurry. Two shower, two toilets, mixed, but overall very clean. Comfy beds, but I would appreciate warmer blankets. Tea and coffee in the kitchen, kettle too. Great location, very good value for money. Seemed very safe. Will stay again and will recommenf to friends!
I stayed 2 nights in this hostel. It is not so big, rooms are very close to each other. There is a big kitchen in the middle and there are some materials for cooking. Hostel is close to city center we walked everyday and it was app.10 minutes. There is a Wifi to use it and it is free. Hostel Staff were really good and we loved them. Thank you Guru Hostel.
Balazs was exceptionally helpful--providing maps, advice, ordering a taxi. He went above and beyond. The apartment was clean and lovely. Location was perfect. Everything was wonderful!
After paying for the room we were told that the girls who stayed there haven't made their check out yet. It was 3 p.m and they were supposed to leave at max 10 a.m. I began to wonder if I was the only person who knew about the hostel's check-in and -out policy. The guy at the counter didn't know where the girls were or at what time they would be coming back. In the end we were given another room for that night in their sister hostel down the street. The next day we moved back to the first hostel
Good hostel in the heart of Budapest. Atmosphere more chilled out than most considering it's in the party hostel area. This hostel is comprised of two separate buildings so can feel very small but homely at the same time.
Guru hostel is a very cheap option how to spend a few days in comfortable and very clean hostel in a Budapest city centre. In a reception there is a great service and you will sleep in a beautiful rooms. Outside of a hostel is a very nice surroundings.
Liked: They had some problems with hot water when we stayed, but really great People, excellent atmosphere and location. Would definitely go back if next time in Budapest.
Disliked: The only problem was with hot water, but this was just our bad luck - normalny hot water's on ;-)
The Hostel is in very good location, public transport, cafe, sushi planet, shops, pubs everything found super close to ! I don't know why, but first time for a long time I was sleeping like a children in this hostel , so relaxing!!! Hostel owner is so kind, you can talk and laugh together for a long time because of crazy stories what he have ! Hostel Maybe is not very exclusive, but the simplicity what they have here is warming your soul! So I have got that what I look from accommodations, relax and home feeling! The people who choose this hostel was very nice as we'll ! I'm sure I will visit this hostel again ! Good luck for stuff and hope that only the best visitors are going to come to the hostel !
Liked: The hostel was clean, well decorated and had a nice laid back atmosphere most of the time. The staff were friendly when they were there. The rooms were very cheap and very comfortable.
Disliked: The hostel staff were hardly ever there. They told us we would be switching hostels at some point but then disappeared and weren't around to give us more information. There was a man violently ill and shouting and screaming aggressively at a woman in one of the private rooms on and off for around 12 hours but no hostel staff to do anything about it.
